1. Aven is feeling nervous. In the text it says Aven had her shirt on backwards and stuck her cereal in the microwave. Then when Aven's mom said she was worried because Aven was doing those two things. But Aven says she was being an "airhead", then Aven said that she wasn't actually being an airhead, she was nervous, extremely nervous.
2.A connection I had to the story was when I saw a guy on the news, he had no hands and he was being a cashier for a store. I think that connected to the story because the guy I saw on the news has the same kind of problem Aven has.
Aven is feeling shy and nervous but can also surprise everyone with how well she can do things. she dosent want to let people see how she eats so she dosent
I think that Aven feels worried about going to school because she does not really know anyone and she is really new to the place which is normal to be worried but the fact that she threw up before even making it through her first class really shows that she was worried .
I can relate to this because when i first went to sherman i was kind of worried i guess because nobody I knew was in my class but eventually i got used to it .
aven is feeling nervous because she had her shirt on backwards and put her cereal in the microwave. a connection to me and the book is when i started going to sherman and how the teachers were going to be.
This week, post about a part in your book that surprised you. What was so surprising about it? Why do you think the author included that part of the book?

DeleteI agree with you because in the book it said Aven ate in the bathroom stall. She didn't want other people see her eat.
